A post-prison support ministry |

People just getting out of prison have many physical and spiritual needs, such as clothing, hygiene items, transportation, communication (phone), housing, felon-friendly jobs, etc., and a confusing array of requirements and adjustments in order to survive and thrive in society. Heart Fellowship aims to provide as many physical needs as we can afford, and moral and spiritual support. What we cannot provide, we can try to refer clients to the other resources that are available. One way Heart Fellowship ministers to the needs of people with felony records and their (adult) families and friends, who are unable to attend regular, family-oriented church services, or who are uncomfortable in that environment, is to provide a place where they can not only worship without fear, but can feel safe to share from their personal experiences without fear of condemnation or judgement. Therefore, we require that no minors be present in the worship facility. This is also a requirement of the other ministries that use this building. Also, we request that all who visit us be respectful of the privacy needs of others. Please allow us to share freely of our past, both good and bad, with the knowledge that it will not be shared beyond these walls. Within this framework, we encourage any and all to come and worship with us, be they offenders, or their friends, family and supporters, and those who care enough to support this ministry with your presence, and any who just want a good old-fashioned conservative Christian Bible study and worship service. Welcome and may God richly bless you. |
